Sanitas Hub 10-Year Anniversary:

A Celebration of Progress and Promise

As we commemorate a decade of Sanitas Hub, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. Ten years ago, I embarked on a journey fueled by a vision: to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to ensure it receives the same recognition and care as physical health. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, I want to reflect on my achievements and share my aspirations for the future.

Over the past ten years, Sanitas Hub has trained thousands of delegates to become Mental Health First Aiders. Each of you has played a crucial role in this journey, and together, we have made significant strides in promoting mental well-being in workplaces, schools, and communities. It is heartening to witness the positive impact of my training, which have empowered individuals to support their peers, colleagues, and loved ones during challenging times.

My mission has always been clear: to create a culture of understanding and compassion around mental health. When I started, conversations about mental health were often hushed or avoided. Today, we are breaking down those barriers, fostering environments where individuals can openly discuss their mental health challenges without fear of judgment. This shift in mindset is the result of your commitment to this cause, and I cannot thank you enough.

As I look to the future, I recognize that the journey is far from over. While I have made significant progress, there are still many challenges to address, particularly regarding neurodiversity and mental health. My commitment to training in Mental Health First Aid will continue, but I am also excited to expand my focus on neurodiversity. It is essential that we create inclusive environments that recognize and celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of neurodiverse individuals.

My new training programmes to support neurodiversity in the worplace will equip delegates with the tools and knowledge needed to foster inclusive workplaces and communities, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their neurological makeup, feels valued and supported.

I am thrilled about the possibilities that lie ahead. With your continued support, we can reach even more individuals and organisations, spreading awareness and understanding of mental health and neurodiversity. Together, we can build a future where mental health is prioritised, and every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

As I celebrate this anniversary, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. Thank you for believing in my mission, for your unwavering support, and for the countless hours you have dedicated to this cause. Your passion and dedication have been the driving force behind my success.

Let’s continue this journey together. The best is yet to come, and I am excited to see what we can achieve in the next ten years. Together, we will champion mental health and neurodiversity, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and support they need to lead fulfilling lives.

Thank you for being a part of the Sanitas Hub family.

With warmest regards,

Christina James
